Love vs possession
November 30, 2007 by elsaloekito
Love and possession often get confused.
Love says that to love is not to possess, and yet,
Possession says that I am a proof of love .
Love says that I am not about receiving, but rather, giving.
Possession says that I exist to receive your love.
The two never seem to agree on anything.
Who do you think will win ?
Omigod Sa…..
gue baru berpikiran yang sama 2 hari yang lalu…
Elsa…
Possession is a proof of love? You mean that when I possess a girl, I love her? That makes no sense. Girls are not trophies or cars.
As girls, I think guys would love if girls understand them and never possess them. Guys are not dolls to play with!!!
As Guys, I think girls love personal attention and love but that doesn’t mean that guys ‘own’ the girl. Guys must understand the girl’s needs and feelings too…
(but guys, NEVER guess a girl’s needs or feelings!!)
For the second part: It seems that relationships are a way to RECEIVE stuff that are not normally gained in single life.
I believe that love is two sided: you must both give and receive. Imagine if you give a lot but never receive… how would that feel? Unfair right? If you prefer to keep receiving but never give, (unless there is a good reason to) be prepared to receive your other half’s anger. There should be a balance between both.
Love is never possession. No human have the right to “possess” and “control” other humans.
Love is always understanding and care. It is clearly an opposite of possessing which is often includes a feeling of ownership and exploitation.
P.S maap kalo gw pake bhs Inggris. Gw benci ama garis2 merah di bawah setiap kata.
Definitely love!
First, I never agree that love is proof of love. Furthermore, your 2nd sentence definitely describe the bad side of possession.
In my opinion, 2 perquisites of love are trust and respect. Possession clearly does not fulfill those 2 perquisites :D.
